I arrived at Englewood community hospital Thursday afternoon September 15, 2016. Receptionist asked if she could help. I stated I had chest pain. She stood up & said push that big red button. Within seconds 3 people came through the doors with a wheelchair and multiple equipment. Within less than an hour I was seen, diagnosed, had a cardiac work up that revealed a heart attack in progress, and in the cath lab for stent placement. I went in on the 9th with server stomach pain, puking and sweating from the pain and major diarrhea the doctor did nothing no exam. The only thing he did was order a CT scan and said he didn't see nothing so he sent me home he didn't even enter the room and treated me like all I want was drugs , I've never drink, did Street drugs or like taking any pain pills and have never smoked, and the guy filling out the information was very rude and disrespectful here it the 11th I'm still hurting bad. the only nice ones were the CT la... read more

My aunt was struck by lightning on May 31, 2016. The physician treated her like she was a drug addict. We have lived here our entire lives and to not be able to trust your local ER is unreal. Needless to say we will never use this hospital as long as we can help it. My family is appalled by the service my sister received. She was transferred and was hospitalized for a month. Please be warned of it's something serious you will not be helped.

My grand mother ( who's husband is in hospice care right now) was brought in by ambulance tonight due to being super sick, stressed and ended up passing out. my whole family of course came to be there for her. After being told multiple times that she was allergic to a specific medicine they gave it to her anyways then acted like it was no big deal. My mother and I were in the Emergency room on the 28th of August being seen for severe abdominal pain and nausea two days after surgery (the surgery was not performed at your hospital, but a hospital an hour away.) My husband and I had to call an ambulance due to our not being able to even get her on her feet and out the door ourselves; her pain was that severe. Englewood Community Hospital is the BEST hospital in our area for quality care and compassion. The team of doctors and staff saved my life! I had a rare blood infection. My daughter was also recently treated in the ER for a virus and after an intervenes with some saline and great medications, she felt good as new! We are so grateful to have ECH in our very own community!

Here is the inside scoop. I was a victim of a violent crime within this facility. Englewood Hospital Emergency department is great for minor injuries, or emergency stabilization because it offers services in a remote area of the state. If you cut your foot on a shell at the beach, or got a fishing hook in your finger they will treat you in a reasonable time.
