Don’t use these guys unless you don’t want service calls returned. Our system has been broken for a month; we’ve left over a dozen messages and they haven’t returned a call. Not a trustworthy business - I’d recommend using another service.

I am writing hoping to help someone else in the decision process for geothermal. I had a gut feeling to go with EnergySmart for a geothermal system, but I went with a cheaper option. It did not work out well for me. The other company could not follow through with and complete the project, despite many promises and guarantees. This company does not respond - I would not recommend them at all - very poor communications from installation throughout the process and now for followup on warranty and support.

The system has been installed for a few months, and both A/C and heat work great. Installing a ground source heat pump involves drilling, which does make a big mess. Our install also required converting a single zone house to 3 zones, which meant replacing most of the ducting. The initial quote seemed expensive, but given the complexity of the project and the $15k Mass rebate and federal tax rebates, the final cost will be only a bit more than air source would have been, and it's a lot more efficient and allows us to stop us... read more

The team at EnergySmart was professional, efficient and skilled. Melanie Head was incredibly knowledgeable about every aspect of this project and was personally on-site at multiple stages to follow up on the progress. Our old AC was noisy and was ineffective in the summer. Now the house is cooler than ever. We had a 98 degree day a couple weeks back. Our heat pump monitoring app showed that we used less than $1.50 for the entire day (15kWh) of cooling a 4000 sf house to 76 degrees. Just amazing.
