My experience is with Energy One Federal Credit Union is likely an atypical one; nevertheless, I must share it due to its concerning nature. I had a joint account opened years ago with another family member with $100+. I don’t even recall the reason it existed. Energy One sent me statements by mail regularly so I always knew it was there.
