Update 5/3: Our porch is finished!!!! Speaks came on 4/30 and worked from 10:00-6:00. They came back 5/1 and finished the job. The owner came by the next day to check on the work. Such a nice gentleman. Needless to say, we are so thankful that Speaks was able to fix our problems caused by Calvin Cole and his crew at EMD. It took 4 weeks for our windows to come in...unlike the time frame Calvin gave me I'll say it again, do NOT hire this company for any job. (Pop some popcorn...) **Update 4/8- we filed a BBB complaint and left negative reviews. **Update 4/9- EMD "temporarily closed" their business on Google, and took down their website. I received a call from the BBB, who states that they attempted to call, left a voicemail regarding my complaint and that business is now marked as closed. This means they cannot follow up. Ripped us off. Took our money and never delivered the windows. Out $4300.00
They are great, knowledgeable, and pricing was very fair. Would highly recommend giving them a chance to earn your business.
I’d like to leave no stars for this company due to their lack of communication, professionalism, and shoddy work practices. We met with Calvin Cole on 7/24/23 to discuss having an already existing screened in porch turned into a sunroom. At the time, we had a good feeling about his bid and our conversation. The wheels came off as soon as we gave him a $10k deposit. We were told that the windows would take up to 12 weeks to come in.
