Dr. Carter and his staff are amazing. My husband started to have severe pain in his mouth on Thursday so we went to the dentist on Friday. The dentist saw immediately that my husband had an abscessed tooth and needed 3 root canals. He gave us Dr. Carter's information so we could call on Monday and get an appointment. Over the weekend, my husband's pain increased. We called Dr. Carter and, despite the fact that we were not yet patients, he talked us through how to manage everything over the weekend. Dr. Carter with Endodontic Associates of Charleston did 2 root canals in four weeks time on different molars, both with no notice and done the same day as my referral to him. I have had root canals twice before on different teeth that were not successful, but Dr. Carter was amazing, identified all of the roots, and was able to stop the severe pain and save both of my molars that were cracked! I highly recommend!
My last root canal was a traumatic experience (done by someone else). I started feeling it half way through and did not get any help to get more numb. Dr. Carter and his team were so good to me. They allowed me to be sedated since i was uncomfortable just being numb. Everyone who worked there when i was there were just so personable. From the woman at the front desk, to the assistant, to the dr himself. I had a very pleasant experience and totally recommend these guys. They made me realize a root canal isn’t so bad. :)
Had a root canal several months ago. I was extremely nervous, and the staff was kind and helped ease my concerns. Also, Dr. Carter did a fantastic job in fixing my tooth! I’m very pleased!

We are from England and are briefly in Charleston on a road trip with my daughter and her American husband. Dr Carter carried out my wife Sue's root canal at very short notice yesterday as we are only in town for a couple of days. She was very nervous but he put her at ease, involved myself and my daughter in the options and decision and carried out the treatment selected quickly and efficiently. Many Thanks.
Dr Carter and his staff did an awesome job with my root canal. They went above and beyond in service to me and I can’t thank them enough. This was really a great experience, even for a root canal.
