Unfortunately, my experiences with the endocrinology department here over the past few years have been disappointing. A few years ago, I had two appointments where I was told there was nothing to discuss - only to find out later that I was never informed about the required pre-visit lab work. I decided to give the department another try this year, but once again, the lab missed running the full blood panel, and I had to return for another blood draw after a long 1.5-hour commute. If you can reach a receptionist to make an appointment and not have it cancelled, then the doctors are good. Minimum 2 emails and 3 phones messages each time I try to make an appointment.

I was referred to BIDMC through HUHS but I will attest to all these other reviews. DO NOT GO HERE. I was under the care of Zachary Taxin and he was condescending, patronizing, and constantly pressured me to do treatments I was not comfortable with (I would later find out that I never had to have these treatments done). Did one initial over the phone appointment back in March and was told they would send in lab requests and then from there would get me back on medications that I needed a new prescription for. They never sent in the labs and I have called more than a dozen times, left a message every time, and haven’t heard back. It’s been 4 months.
