My long diabetes provider was an excellent one. She left and so have the next 2 after her . Based on my relationships with the providers I could give 5 stars . But due to the turn over I can only give 3. I should give them 2 since they have no email contact and I am 70% deaf.

I was not accepted as a patient here in December 2023, seemingly due to being overweight. Sue at the front desk told me I needed my records sent over before they could set me up with an appointment. My records were faxed, and a provider at EAOC responded on 12/5/2023 with a hand written note on the cover page of the fax stating, “Sorry, we cannot accommodate at this time. ^ insulin - explained by weight PCP needs to work up Cushings if suspected. I imagine if you have a more serious condition they are great doctors. But I am routinely kept waiting up 45 minutes for my appointment and then the doctor sees me for 5-10 minutes and doesn’t tell me anything I couldn’t get from reading my lab results. The last time I left after waiting for 45 minutes as I had to get back to work.

Horrible. My PCP was shocked when I told her about my experience here. My prescriber, I believe it was Erwin, repeatedly asked if I would like a prescription for Ozempic or metformin despite me having type 1 diabetes. I also had to educate him on my insulin pump and CGM because he wasn't familiar with the models or difference between them. Lastly, he kept misgendering my doctors and calling them all "he" after I repeatedly corrected him and said "she" as all of my previous clinicians have been women.

They don’t have an online bill payment service. Instead of sending the third reminder for bill payment, the lady at their Patients Accounts, P.O. Box 634, Guilford, CT says they automatically send out a letter asking to pay within 15 days, otherwise they would refer the patient to a collection agency. That’s like a threatening letter saying pay up or we’ll see that your credit score is messed up. Another good reason to switch to a better doctors office that has online bill payment service.
