I had a really frustrating experience with the parking situation at this complex that I feel others should be aware of. My car was towed from the parking lot even though there was no visible signage at the entrance indicating any parking restrictions. I parked in the second spot after pulling in, and at no point before leaving my vehicle did I see any sign suggesting I wasn’t allowed to park there. The best retirement apartment I have been privileged to rent so far in this journey into second childhood. The genral manager is on-site 5 days a week, and the maintenance person is scheduled on weekdays as well. The staff are attentive to the needs of the individual, the community and the building. I recommend this place. Steve

I like to take my time and write reviews when I have experiences with companies and people that seem a "Step Above" and that is what kind of experience I walked into at Encore Apartments on Farmer. I waited a few months just to make sure I absolutely love living here. The location is perfect—very walkable, close to Mill Avenue and Tempe Town Lake, and there’s even free transportation to get around. I do like the area, and the quietness of the residents and friendliness. i give it four stars because the only thing i have to get use to is the train. but love it here

Therese L., the leasing manager, had me apply for an apartment recently and offered me the unit I was supposed to occupy. However, she canceled my application without any prior notice. I would not recommend this place to anyone, especially given how the manager operates. Most of her tenants receive subsidies and Social Security income, which guarantees her a steady income for a senior 55 plus proprty.
