I would never refer this facility to another person. I was admitted for rehab after a stroke. I was told that I would be there 14 days to restore the use of my hand. After 5 days I was put the some rigorous test with only a few days of therapy. I was deemed well enough to go home without any significant change. The reason being that I could function as I was, using 1 hand. The so called doctor refused to allow me to go to my follow up appt with my cardiologist. Never take your loved one to this so called rehab center.

I spent 7 days at this facility after suffering a stroke on Sep. 10th. I was transferred there on Sep. 14th. The entire staff (doctors, nurses, kitchen, and housekeeping) were very kind and helpful during my stay. I had two great physical therapists, Blaze and Jenna. My speech therapist Tanysha was wonderful; she had a student trainee. I don’t remember her name, but she’s graduating from Francis Marion in May. There were so many things that made Encompass an above average hospital and rehabilitation program. First, my husband was welcome to be there with me around the clock. He could attend my physical therapy sessions, which made sense, because he is my primary caregiver and needed to understand how to help me. The staff at Encompass was competent and professional, yet down to Earth and used humor to help us get through some long days.
