Enat Ethiopia Cafe & Mart is the culmination of a love story that is the reflection of a mother's legacy, a tradition of hospitality, the need to serve, food and culture. Martha Kebede is the owner of Enat Ethiopia Cafe & Mart and the restaurant is a tribute to her Enat, which means mother in Amharic. good family Ethiopian restaurant I was pleasantly surprised when I went to Enat. The outside is not all that convincing that you'll have a good experience. But, once inside, it was clear that the owners really want their visitors to have a wonderful dining experience. I found the food to be really good, definitely better than most Ethiopian restaurants in Atlanta. A gem in Atlanta with a delicious menu and exceptional service – I had the pleasure of eating at this retaurant over the summer of 2008. As I was walking away disappointed, the owner stepped out of the restaurant to welcome us back. She explained that the restaurant hours had changed but didn't want us to leave disappointed. great customer service, attention to guest needs – I never had this type of food prior to this, I had told the waitress that I did not know what to order and she was great with taking charge and bringing out different things for me to try. The people were friendly and the food was good, I will be back as this was a real treat.
Delicious authentic Ethiopian – I have eaten at many Ethiopian restaurants in Manhattan, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C., and this one ranks among my favorites. Martha, the owner and cook, is really friendly and welcoming. The food is fantastic (the Doro Wott is a particular must-try). Don't forget to order a bottle of Tej (honey wine), which is the perfect accompaniment to the spices of Ethiopian cuisine. Prices are extremely reasonable, as well. I thought Enat was much better than Queen of Sheba.
Editorial Review – Classic Ethiopian dishes served without frills at a mom-and-pop eatery.
