I went to EMS academy's paramedic school 8 years ago and it was a horrible experience. The classroom instruction was great but when it came to clinical locations and support, I was basically left to deal with it on my own. I had signed up for the program because I was told I would be able to do my clinical hours in town but ultimately, due to apparent loss of contracts (or never having obtained them to begin with), I had to go to Providence for clinical hours. I took the 12-week EMT course in Marshfield and had the privilege of having Lori and Joe as my instructors. Within one week of completing my course, I passed my written and practical exams, both on the first attempt. About one week after that, I accepted a full time position as a Nursing Assistant in a local Emergency Department.
