Found this Jem while walking to 42nd oyster street for dinner and stopped in for some drinks. WOW!! Can’t wait to go back for dinner and wish I had eaten dinner here instead!!
Great date night restaurant!
We love celebrating our anniversary at Second Empire. The food is always so delicious, and the menu is crafted around local produce, so everything tastes like it is fresh from the garden. The service is excellent and so accommodating, and the ambience is perfect for a quiet dinner for two. We love to sit on the front porch after dinner to people-watch as well.
The restaurant is so classy and service was great.
We had a fantastic birthday evening with my wife and friends. Swordfish was fantastic, scallops amazing and charcuterie was terrific. Well worth the trip!
I took my fiance here for his birthday dinner which brought out his inner foodie (he is naturally very picky). The staff was so professional, nice, and knowledgeable. The atmosphere was intimate and romantic which perfectly framed a night of incredible food and cocktails. The menu was personally printed for him marking his birthday and signed by the chief. My wife and I dined in the Tavern last evening. We are not 'regular' customers but do dine there occasionally. Everything was impeccable from start to finish. Zander was our server ( assisted by Ben) and he was remarkable. His knowledge and comprehension of the menu and its components was commendable. The food was amazing (as always) and a credit to Daniel's craft, creativity, and skill. A thoroughly enjoyable evening in all respects. Highly recommended and 5Stars
