I called them for an issue with my boiler that they installed for the previous owner. They talked me into buying an $8,000 Navien due to the extreme high cost of repairing the original that was installed in 2002. it was 2012 when i contacted them for a service call making that original 10 yrs old (not very old Empire). I used them and got burned. You cannot get through to management (I got Fred or Maurice named from Elizabeth), they did a bate and switch, Charged $541 to install a $130 part (humidifier), both techs came with the same story that they were here to check the humidifier only when I clearly had them for cleaning. They both said they would do the cleaning for "free" but don't tell the office. Something is very fishy about this company. I doubt Fred of Maurice even exist. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I've been using Empire Heating for over 10 yrs and they are great, love seeing the same tech year after year. They do my yearly maintenance on my furnace and air conditioner. I also love that they can fix my plumbing when needed. Great company!

This company will scam you as much as they can; for instance, they went to a "service" at a house I own, and the first thing was a "diagnostic" of the water heater: it needed to be replaced at a cost of $800.00, when another tech fixed it with a $15.00 part. Same with the furnace, after "service" that consisted on simply blowing on it, I was told that it needed to be replaced at a cost of over $2,400.00; other company gave me an estimate of $1,200.00 for a Rheem. rude workers they have bad drivers with horrible road rage. Almost caused an accident getting to the job.
