I now live in Mexicali, but I perviosly lived in eastlake. I always went to Empire for my Haicut and Ron would always do an excellent job. Living in Mexicali I found a decent barber but he was on vacation attending to his mother. I decided to get a haircut in El Centro because I was short on time; the place had exellent reviews. Empire Barber & Shave is an amazing barber shop. While I have my favorite barber, I have found most professionals to be professional, talented, and give me the cut I am looking for. As a man, I need my lines straight, at Empire they always are, I love people barbers who are nice at Barber they always are. As an added extra I like qhen places have good ambiance and I love the decore, the paintings, the air blowers for cleaning the hair on the floor. Empire is worth a try if you need a barber shop.
Pretty unsatisfactory experience. I rarely leave bad reviews but this was pretty rough. Walked-in for a haircut for my son. Not only did his hair look nothing like the reference photo (see below) but the barber hurt the skin around his neck. He was bruised and bleeding and complaining it hurt. Definitely won’t be going back. Might be better for adults, but do not take your kids here.
Scheduling and greeting in shop is very unprofessional. I scheduled through their online system, they don’t answer calls. Then arrive and the barber shop and Gio isn’t there. I wouldn’t know the quality of their cuts, I tried. The barber working there gives me Gio’s number, strange. I call Gio and his message sounds like he just woke up. That’s what I expected. Mike the Barber helped us out last minute for my son we just moved to town. We were looking for a barber and reviews said he was an awesome barber. Mike was patient and kind to my son. Thank you Mike for giving my son the best clean haircut EVER. You took your time with my son who has a few calluses. Very impressed of attention to detail. You will now be our New Barber!!
