I met twice with Katie. Upon first meeting, she is a pleasant and friendly person. However, it became obvious during conversation that she has little to no knowledge or understanding of the LGBTQIA+ community. We had a meeting a day after the election results came out. When I tried to express my valid concerns and anxieties about my rights as a queer person being taken away, I was gaslit and told that my life would not be impacted.
