I began seeing Lauren at Emotion Control during a very difficult period for me. She helped me learn how to challenge and adjust some of my less than ideal coping mechanisms and thought processes and helped me get into a much better head space which ultimately allowed me to show up infinitely better for my family. I've continued to see her for a couple years now because her empathy, honesty, and experience continues to help make a positive difference in my life.
I had an immediate need for a DBT program. They were able to fit me in while other programs had a 2 month waiting list (white knuckle it for 2 months? No thank you). So far, my experience has been stellar. Group is given in a soft lecture format, which I thrive on. I have been able to implement the skills I am learning in the very complicated atmosphere in which I had sadly found myself.
