I’ve been to Emory in Atlanta many times since my neck and spine surgery last September with my wonderful surgeon, Dr. Reed. Today, I saw Dr. Joshy to discuss some concerns before my follow-up appointment in April. The radiology technician who performed my X-ray was incredibly kind and down-to-earth. Although the X-ray hadn’t been set up beforehand, everything was handled quickly and efficiently once it was realized. Dr. Joshy and his assistant were both wonderful. I felt comfortable, listened to, and very well cared for.

Though the facility is beautiful and the human at the desk was lovely, I waited 30 minutes past my appointment time without any information or apology. When I informed the receptionist that I was leaving, she told me that the provider I was scheduled to see, Anand Joshi, always comes in at 8:20. My appointment was scheduled for 8am, and the confirmation text asked me to arrive at 7:45. There is so much disrespect for other humans’ time in this profession. $650 JUST to see the doctor? I walked out with a bill of over $800 just to talk to the doctor for 10 minutes. The young front office girl wanted to charge me twice after I paid and it said “approved”.. she told me to keep swiping my card even after I got a notification from my bank saying the payment went through.. This place is such a ripoff. No wonder they have a brand new facility and the Falcons suck 👎🏼

I don’t know where to start here..I drive over an hour to try and get good care I came in with low back pain in 2023x Had to see two doctors because it could be hip it could be spine. I had X-rays and MRIs, and lo and behold I did have a bulging disc lower back with a cyst where my pain started. They also tried cortisone shots in the hip.
