Never before have I been so frustrated dealing with an Emory procedure. So I was scheduled for a procedure. I noticed 3 days before the procedure that there was no time or instructions listed on my chart for when to report for the procedure. Just a couple questionnaires. Unfortunately when I called no one picked up and it was Friday. I messaged my doctor but of course he was already out of the office And he wasn't going to get back to me over the weekend. I am actually quite stupefied by the many negative comments about this facility. My experience was wholly different. The team, from top (checking in) to bottom (discharge) was stellar -- professional, courteous and efficient, most significantly the outstanding quality of the team that performed my ocular surgery. Hospital care in this day and age is a crapsshoot at best. But this Emory Ambulatory facility represents the flagship's well deserved name. I cancelled a colonoscopy for 6/26/2025, however, the appointment was "mysteriously" scheduled again without my consent. I have called both the appointment and surgery departments and they BOTH told me that they are not allowed to cancel colonoscopy appointments. I have emailed as well, and no one will cancel my colonoscopy. I have emails and recorded conversations.
The staff is fantastic. Thank you Tracy, Shante, Dr Spaulding, Sryna, Tasha, Henry and especially Dr Massaad for your great care.
Very disappointed with my experience of this surgery center. Came here for knee surgery. Preop nurse was amazing and I had best experience with her. However, the post-op nurse was disgusting. I couldn't wake up after anesthesia and she kept physically disturb me and make disrespectful comments. My wife was at bedside and she was amazed by difference between nurses. I'm a nurse myself and work in the same organization and I'm ashamed that this nurse works in this field and treats people with such a terrible way. It felt like ... read more
