Emery St Joseph hospital in Atlanta is the worse hospital I’ve ever seen.  My mom and dad had long stays at that hospital. They had to go there because Kaiser hospitals has a contract with them. The doctors and staff don’t communicate. Many of the nursing staff were rude and not friendly. Several nurses ignored my mom’s request for cleaning for 40 minutes before she called to remind them. She was soaking in urine and stool with open wounds for close to an hour after her requests and was met with attitude. They were in such... read more

Google Adriana Smith and see what these mo stars made her and her family go through before trusting your healthcare to these monsters. They are more concerned about politics of the far right Christian Nationalists than they are treating people. They are vicious horrible people.

I am not a patient but after reading the various comments on Dr. Keilen, I have to step in and add some very positive results the doctor was able to perform. In both cases they had gone to other doctors, specialist in G.I. and were told they would have to remove parts of their large descending colon. A very invasive procedure requiring a hospital stay and convalescing at home. In some cases, the result is living with a coloscopy bag. Both are members of my Church. In both cases Dr Keilen was able to solve the problems with ... read more

The comments on experience are Valid and True. The workflows, the wait times, and the lack of organizational execution are horrendous. I brought my wife and we waited hours for test to be done that could have been done alongside other tests hours before. If either of have to go back to an ER, it won’t be at Emory St. Joes.

My husband has been receiving treatment at the Winship Cancer center for months now. His physician ordered scans and tests to be done. When my husband arrived for one of his scans, that is a 2hr drive for us, he was informed that his scan had been cancelled at 2am that morning due to the overflow of the night before. We received no phone call of this cancelation. When my husband asked to speak to the supervisor Ms. Howard stated she didn't have time to deal with him, that she would call him when she got a moment. I have ma... read more

As a transplant patient I chose to go to Emory ER because they ARE a transplant center. What a nightmare! I sat in the ER from 2:58pm until 12:30am in the general sick area. I told them once an hour that I cannot be in the same area as people with Covid, flu, throwing up or airborne pathogens. I guess they took that as a reason to take every single person before me. Myself and a kidney transplant. Patient sat in the area where this Transplant hospital knew I was supposed to not be at. Nine hours sitting in a room where one ... read more

I wanted to start by thanking my surgeon Dr. Peter William Thompson, MD Plastic Surgery was scary until I met this doctor and his amazing team at Emory Plastic Surgery. The Coordinator Queen, nurses Laura and Allison were kind, helpful in many ways such as helping to fight my insurance company for a Panniculectomy, which was so necessary to improve the quality of my life. It took three tries before they approved me, and I never once felt alone during this fight. Dr. Thompson took the time to hear my concerns about my weig... read more

I cannot really say much for the entire hospital or all the doctors and nurses there. I don't know how anyone actually gets into the hospital through the emergency department. My 80-year-old mother who fell and more than likely broke her hip sat in there waiting room for 6 hours with no pain meds. I've never experienced something that terrible. Thanks might be better in certain areas once you get in but I don't know how anybody gets in through the ED. That situation really sucked. We ended up leaving and going to Emory St J... read more
