All was well with my labs & appt with Dr Aponte - that's where it went down hill at the appt.I was sent out to wait on making my next appt per Dr Aponte in 6 mos.....that was around 4 pm or so.....I checked with the appt staff twice during my time there and was told to wait to be called (as I knew)....finally after I was the last person left making an appt I demanded some one help me which happened after the previous patient was seen....I left you offices @ 5:30 pm - way, way past the time I should have been sitting there wa... read more
This is the club that nobody wants to be a part of -- cancer patients and survivors. The anxiety and grief and rage that comes with a cancer diagnosis are inevitable. What makes a difference is a team of doctors and nurses and support staff who inspire confidence with their consistent professionalism, efficacy, and diligence; as well as a mindset of service to their fellow human beings. Dr Aponte has been my doctor for 2 years. She always address my concerns and needs. Very professional and knowledgeable. I have high confidences in her and is blessed to have her as my doctor!!
Dr Aponte took time to explain to my Mother about everything she was doing and the reasons for them. Dementia and being hard of hearing makes things difficult for her but Dr Aponte made things go smoothly. We did not feel rushed and I felt comfortable with where we were and what our next steps would be.

I am always seen quickly and efficiently. Dr.Aponte listens to my concerns and questions. I have some unusual factors in my care and she is quite willing to coordinate with my other caregivers. The clinic runs on time consitantly.

Dr. Aponte has been my chemotherapist for the past four years. Fighting cancer - twice - has been a daunting struggle. It is physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting. Dr. Aponte has an earnest, calm, and confident demeanor, as well as an economical and clear manner of speaking, with an underlying aura of empathy and genuine concern for her patients. I am glad to have had her as a leader of the medical team treating me at Texas Oncology.
Dr Aponte is always prepared for our meetings, she bases her suggestions on data, she is courteous and friendly.
