I’ve been a patient of Dr. Emily Novik for many years, and I truly couldn’t imagine being treated by anyone else. She is caring, compassionate, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable. Dr. Novik is the coldest and least empathetic psychiatrist I’ve ever worked with. Her tone when speaking with patients is so condescending. I have Tardive Dyskinesis, from being wrongly prescribed antipsychotic medication from a previous doctor. Dr. Novik tried to prescribe me the medication Seroquel, a powerful and sedating antipsychotic that has been proven to cause TD. Dr. Novik was my husband’s psychiatrist. He suffered from severe depression and anxiety. After years of failed treatments turned to Dr. Novik for help. She never really listened to him or took his symptoms with any seriousness. She even failed to return multiple messages and emails from my Husbands therapist, even with verbal and written permissions from my husband, her patient.
