I did a few 1:1 sessions when I was visiting Portland and loved my experience so much I continued doing virtual sessions for several months with Emily from back home. She's so peaceful, demonstrated a profound understanding what my body and mind needed, and curated the perfect sessions for me throughout my pregnancy, depending on how I was feeling. I also just loved chatting with her every time -- I truly felt like I was meeting with a friend. Emily has a gift and passion for what she does and I'm grateful for the time I spe... read more

It’s nice to hear an instructor say “hey this is really hard!” Yoga with Emily involves accepting the level your body is comfortable with, no shame in not managing the “yoga magazine” version. And yet the yoga I can do and have done has changed ... read more
I met Emily as I was suffering from chronic pain. I asked her to help me expand my movements, and she custom-tailored a practical, gentle plan through her yoga therapy. Since my pain interferes with my mind as much as my body, she coached me on breathing and meditation, too; her guidance continues to affect my whole self day after day. Although she knew so much, she offered only the tools that were helpful to me at the moment; she met me on my level, just as I hoped. Emily followed up on our sessions with detailed written su... read more
