The doctor herself is great in person. I'm currently 32 weeks pregnant and I'm coming to find out, I cannot trust her staff. They called me back by name and then got me confused with a girl named Ashley on one visit. The next visit, they were wanting to run my glucose test again because they forgot I took it already. I waited 2 years to post this because my experience has been so incredibly traumatic for myself and husband. I had my baby delivered at 26 weeks from suffering from extreme preeclampsia, I was under this doctors care. 2 to 3 weeks prior I practically begged her to put me on bed rest because felt something was wrong with my pregnancy and stress at work was affecting my health. She is a great OBGYN, very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain things about the pregnancy to us. She has made it a bit less stressful for sure!
My experience with Dr. Calasanz has been wonderful! I found her after having a bad experience with another doctor that had left me shaken and I was very nervous to go back to a gyno. My insurance no longer covers UTMB doctors and I'm very disappointed to be leaving her office. I had a surgery done under her care, she took my concerns seriously and she kept up with the multitude of other medical problems I had going on at the time to ensure my safety and also see if there was any correlation with the issues I was experiencing... read more
