I owe so much to this community. They do not get enough praise for what they do. They have allowed my mother to age with grace and dignity even with the horrible disease of Alzheimers.
Thank you Emeritus at La Casa Grande. My mom was in a nursing home for people with Alzheimer's in the area and was basically in a wheelchair sitting in a room with others like her all day. There was nothing to her life. Once we transferred mom to Emeritus at La Casa Grande, her whole life changed. My mom now walks around both inside and outside securely. She has meals at tables with other residents. My mom plays bingo, participates in sing alongs, and helps plant flowers with the gardening club. I can't think the staff of Em... read more
