Not impressed – Spice decor on the wall is tacky. I've seen them on a lot of chinese restaurant. It's so loud people are screaming at each other. What dress code? I saw several people in shorts, sandals and short sleeves shirts. Don't order the degustation (6 course dinner) or suffer the three hour torture of waiting. It's not fine dining, it's just a high end diner.
Marvelous – Everything was perfect. We found the prices to be average and we highly recommend the duck and the red fish.
Excellent! – Went to Emeril's last year....and it was INCREDIBLE!! The food was great...but I have to say that the serivice was the best part. There were three at our table, food was brought to us by three different people, and handed our plates to all three of us at the same EXACT time. talk about service!! i felt like royalty. The BEST place – I love this restaurant. It's got a great energy. Every time we come to New Orleans from New York we either have lunch or dinnner there.
BAM! – Food is of course awesome, check out that Double Cut Pork Chop with the Green Mole Sauce or the Rack of Lamb. Executive Chef Chris Wilson is still doing a great job overseeing this N.O. institution, open since 1990. And the Hostess Cherie Bourgeois is a charming and wonderful hostess at the reception desk!!!!
a great find – After years of watching Emeril on TV, my husband wanted to celebrate our anniversary by eating at one of Emeril's resteraunts. I looked on the internet and found Emeril's. The service was beyond our expectations. The food was very good and the appetizers and main course were all timed to perfection. I thouroughly enjoyed our visit and plan to go back.
BAM – Wow everything about this place is wonderful. The Decor the service. The wine recommendations were right on. I love the crusted fish the best. Their deserts are to die for. I feel spoiled living a block away.
Siberia??? – Very put off when we were seated in this restaurant's "Siberia" - so far from the action as to be in another restaurant!! We assumed it was because we were out-of-towners (New York) or not regulars, or late from being in traffic from one of the seemingly endless footbal games (Bayou classic), but we were not happy! STUFFED! – I ate at Emeril's on October 5th, 2002. Everyone in my party enjoyed their meals and thought the amount of food was more than sufficient! Yes, it was costly but you walked (or waddled) out of there very very full and the quality of the food was absolutely first rate. The martinis were wonderful, our waiter Alfredo was willing to bend over backwards for us. We will again visit Emeril's on our next trip to New Orleans!
