I am currently in the Mercy Hospital Emergency Department, and this has been a very upsetting experience. The area appears extremely dirty and disorganized and does not resemble a safe or sanitary hospital environment. For a place where people come for urgent medical care, cleanliness and organization should be a basic standard. The conditions here made me feel uncomfortable and concerned for my health. This experience was unacceptable, especially for an emergency room

Went in on a Sunday evening because I was experiencing symptoms that needed emergency care. Registration was fast, and after they took my vitals, the staff took me in quickly and started the tests and treatment right away. I was worried about coming to the Downtown location due to the homeless, but that wasn't a problem. The PA-C, RNs, Phlebotomists, registration staff all did an excellent job. I had the worst experience at the emergency room today was there 4 hours they never took my temperature or blood pressure after waiting 4 hour I ask my self if they could do it my temp was 100 and blood pressure was 147 . Also meantion I had pain in my side n swelling in my feet they checked non that discharged me n said u had the flu 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️ usually the service there is amazing but tonight it was just horrible and the lady at window number 1 was the worse n had the worse attuide

This specific review is for Andrew Grant PA, he treated my issue with kindness and compassion, and set up a next day follow up with a specialist. The world needs more medical staff like him!

They are absolutely not helpful with anything. The operator wanting to tell me it was a HiPPA violation to provide me with a guess about how many patients are in ER. I told her it is now a HiPpa violation and then she said its a hospital policy... Wow American Health Care system is doomed. In the state I live in? Wait times are posted on a billboard! You can also call to get a round about time of how long it may be. California doesn't serve their people. SMH. Keep leaving the state.
