Went to South SF ED due to my Son’s excruciating pain s/p ACL tear reconstruction. My son was not able to sit in a chair or WC. We approached the front desk lady asking for immediate help but she’s rude and unprofessional. I was so worried that day seeing my son suffering from pain, but the lady showed no empathy to patient and family. I heard her laughed out loud. Asking questions rudely. Dr. Ghiyah Meena’s patient care skills were truly disappointing. From the beginning, Dr. Meena was unwelcoming. When I asked her a question about my condition, she responded dismissively by rolling her eyes and making an inappropriate remark. This made me feel uncomfortable and unheard. Later, she performed a painful procedure, and her cold and rude demeanor only worsened an already traumatic experience. No patient should experience this behavior while already in a vulnerable place.

Traveling from out of state and came into the Kaiser ER for care. The triage nurse Cynthia was so rude and her tone was so nasty with us it was insulting. She talked down to us and made us feel completely uncomfortable during a very vulnerable time. Instead of being kind and listening she talked over me in a rude manner in front of my minor child. My daughter ended up having an infection but the interaction with Cynthia ruined our whole experience. I will be following up with the California Nursing Board.
