How is this legal?! Patients laying in the hallways with severe medical issues, not given a room?! My grandfather has severe Alzheimer's/dementia and a broken hip, looking in to internal bleeding. He is profusely agitated in hospitals and the hallway with the lights, noises, etc is extremely terrible for him. He wants to tear out his IVs, etc., because he is in such a state.
Was having a panic attack and out of med due to 3 of my doctors quiting since 2021. Wife called kaiser on my behalf. Nurse on the phone said they could give me something at the ER. We get their and i am Placed me in pod B on a 24 hrs hold (that's where they keep the crazies), after one of thier idiot nurses used AI and had said my wife, who was with me the entire time, had put a hold on me???The social worker who released me was dumbfounded and "never seen such incompetence." Crazy busy, crazy crowded, nice staff that are completely overwhelmed. My mom is the patient. 4 hours with fractured back sitting in wheelchair and no gurneys available.
