We owe the paramedics (who came to our aid at Porepunkah) and the hospital staff Dr Paige Dr Sonia and Nurse Gwen a lot …thank you for looking after my dad and myself on Monday after we both fell off our e-bikes and needed care . Everyone was so kind and helpful. And a big thanks to Glenn for driving us home. Xx
My 87 year old mum was taken to Wangaratta hospital from Yarrawonga hospital . When she got to emergency she had a massive heart attack . A DNR was in place and my sister also advised not to resuscitate by phone. So medical took it upon themselves to revive her then called my sister whilst doing cpr . They asked do you want us to stop. My sister said yes what are you doing that for anyway ( my mum had been unwell for awhile) After they stopped cpr her heart started beating. Don't even bother coming here for a mental health crisis, I was here a year ago for suicidal ideation, I even spoke to the director of Albury/Wodonga mental health unit Michael. They promised things like social workers and counsellors but I came out of that hospital stay with nothing but a physiotherapist. For a mental health emergency. A year later and I decide to overdose on pills, wind up here as it's the closest hospital and I didn't even get seen by a doctor whilst admitted. I got passed on to a "Crisis team" for outpat... read more
