There's typically extremely caring medical professionals here, but last night I had Nicole Stethem who dismissed all my issues. I was in the room less than 10 minutes. The next day I went to Sanford acute care and was diagnosed with a DISLOCATED JAW. Dr Nicole Stethem stated I did not have any swelling on my face, just needed to ice and take ibuprofen and Tylenol as needed. Crazy how I was not over reacting, but I literally had a dislocated jaw......

Went here for the first time tonight, the nurse and the Dr. were so unfriendly, I don't think they could have cared less. Unbelievable!

I’ve had to visit the ER twice recently, and I just really want to say how grateful I am for the care I received. The doctors and nurses here are truly incredible. Every time I come in, they listen, they act quickly, and they make sure I feel safe and cared for. Even in scary situations, they’re calm, attentive, and on top of everything. I never feel brushed off or ignored. They take the time to answer questions, explain what’s happening, and make sure I’m comfortable. We are not from South Dakota, I was very unsure of going to the er here after reading reviews. I couldn't take it anymore and went today to get seen, I had two amazing people at my bed side dealing with my issues. Jill the nurse and Austin the doctor. I let fear get the best of me for 3 days before I decide I can't take it any longer. I would 100% recommend this er to anyone in the sioux falls sd area. Don't let the negative reviews out weight the positive like I was doing. They were so nice and caring. I was a hot mess and ... read more

good doctors..... but they can be completely empty and still act like you're inconveniencing them by being there. nurses need to learn bedside manner, especially with elderly... and why so many questions when all the records/history is right at your fingertips?? doctor was good but everyone else acted like you shouldn't be there and they didn't want to be. (note: 88yo man who could barely stand up/bad sciatica pain with history of heart disease and many orthopedic surgeries......)
