Honestly, the reviews are spot on. This used to be a good hospital but it appears covid or bad management destroyed it. Go to Meriter... Or here if you are dying or have a serious injury. Otherwise, you are going to wait hours and get medication that is OTC. I can understand slow treatment or zero pain meds if you're a revolving customer. I haven't needed pain meds from this hospital since 2005. Yet, you come in with a fairly bad injury and get nothing. No iv, no meds, no comparison really. I was told "there's 50 patients in... read more

The wait times are THIRD WORLD. Went to the ER a few days ago and after 12 hours they sent me home with a referral to a department I can’t even get an appointment with for a month. Now it’s severely infected two days later and I’ve been waiting in this waiting room from hell for hours and still haven’t been seen by a doctor. $30,000 later and I’m sicker than when I started. They use this stupid system they call “CareStart” whereby they get you in a billing position as soon as possible and then stick you back in the waiting r... read more

My ER visit was very unorganized, with staff who seemed unprofessional and inattentive. We went hours without updates, overheard staff speaking negatively about patients, resident left blood vial and used syringe on table, and recorded notes incorrectly about our care— the only time we received direct attention was when we asked to leave. We arrived at 6:15 AM and were quickly triaged and taken for an EKG. I was moved to a room promptly and seen by a resident and phlebotomist who collected blood for labs and informed us that... read more

I spent 7 hours in the emergency room yesterday. The entire staff was friendly, compassionate and patient. I had time to watch the interactions with multiple patients and visitors and everyone was treated with the same efficiency and kindness, even when they were met with impatience or helplessness. Excellent work, ER staff!

Staff was friendly and compassionate towards us. However, the communication amongst the team needs to be improved and more proactive. My spouse wasn't dispatched until 6am (7 hours after we were brought into a room). The doctors and nurses kept telling us different things regarding what's left to do before we could leave. I had to flag down a team member multiple times to ask if we're good to go or clarify what we're waiting on. Due to that, I had family members wait 7+ hours in their car since they were our ride home and ha... read more
