Been here 2 hours waiting to be seen for rabies exposure. Had to park several blocks away because construction has removed the ER parking lot. So yea still waiting to be seen over rabies. Edit: There are now no available seats in the waiting room. Its now standing room only.
Shame on URMC. To make anyone wait 3-4 hours to be seen in excruciating pain or any other emergency situation is cruel and unusual punishment. Then to be finally seen and every step takes even more hours and hours of waiting is just torture. Do better.
Worst hospital I have been to. Literally sitting for over 7 hours (still sitting now) with a finger sawed in half. Losing my shit after numerous attempts to get answers and they have some of the most useless nurses I have ever encountered. They have no idea how to deal with people Update: IT TOOK 12 hours for them to get around to me. The nurses were awful and should rethink their career choices. The only competent person was the woman hand surgeon who was truly wonderful
The staff here is absolutely terrible, treats you as if you’re not a human being. Patients come in with traumatic life threatening injuries. You could come in this emergency room bleeding out to death, and they would still make you wait in the waiting room for 5+ hours. The staff couldn’t care less if you’re alive or dead, healthy or unhealthy. Staff were nice ,however the wait time to see an x-ray of my chest while I was in real pain was BRUTAL. 4 hours later I left. As of 5 1/2 hours later still no test result in mychart. Try Highland...
