I had the absolute worst experience at NYU Langone Emergency Department in Mineola after a motor vehicle accident yesterday. I came in with a laceration on my wrist that required 12 stitches, a dislocated bone, and a fracture, yet the level of care I received was unacceptable. From the moment I arrived, I was neglected. Would give 3.5 if I could. Anyway, last time I was here was in the Spring of 2024 and my experience was fine for the most part. I had to come here for an ear infection and was grateful I didn't have to wait that long (I'd say, maybe 2+ hours). I was in need of ear wicks and, turns out, this ER didn't have them either. However, a doctor here (whose name I unfortunately forgot) crafted some out of cotton that I still keep to this day. I'm pretty shocked as I had an AMAZING experience. I was nervous seeing the previous bad reviews of waiting long hours or interacting with rude staff. My experience couldn't have been more different. The man at the parking lot booth called for a wheelchair and showed us where to park right away. The intake team at the front were so quick and thorough. We have been waiting for 6 hours for an ultrasound! It is practically empty in here. We now have asked to sign an AMA so we can leave but are waiting a ridiculous amount of time for this as well

Excellent service and care even on Sunday. Went there with severe tooth pain. Registration and precheckup within 5 minutes. Doctor checked in few minutes. Second doctor also checked before medication. Was sent home within 1 hour 20 minutes from start to finish. Explained and follow up scheduled for dental clinic.
