had to bring my mom here as a last resort and they were so quick to get her in for her heart, the Dr actually listened to her for once the phlebotomist was the sweetest I wish I could've gotten her name, the nurse didn't seem.to keen on me asking questions but overall i recommend Cooley over holyoke if you need a ER in this area
By far one of the worst experiences I’ve had at an emergency room. I was advised to come here by my pcp for suspected pneumonia. I was left sitting out in the waiting room for almost 5 hours with severe chest pain and shortness of breath with nothing being done. When they finally brought me back all they did was and X-ray then left me sitting in a hallway for over an hour with no further tests or examinations. They didn’t even listen to my lungs! if you can choose a different hospital to go to, choose it.
My husband was brought here via ambulance only to wait in the waiting room for well over three hours. I tapped on the glass to get the triage nurse’s attention for her to tell me that he was the next person in line. That clearly wasn’t the case as they called several names before we left. The paramedics did a better job treating his pain than Cooley Dickinson ED staff did. This place is a joke. Don’t waste your time here.
This is easily the best ER in the 413 area. The problem really is the people of the Northampton area think they’re the center of the universe and that their care should be put above anyone else’s. I have been here MANY times. I deliberately drive here from Chicopee to be seen here because they’re HEAD AND SHOULDERS above Baystate and Mercy.
