On June 28th while visiting our kids and g baby, my husband had an episode of sorts while using the rest room. Never lost consciousness but he was altered, calling me mamA, slightly combative and Def in bad shape. When I went into the bathroom, he was sprawled out, lying on the commode. My son needed to have his appendix taken out a few days ago. I can't speak highly enough about the staff here. We were visiting my mother from out of state, my son (12) has severe anxiety. The staff were so wonderful and patient with him. The ER was pretty swift (any delay was because of my son's anxiety and how long it took before he would let them put in an IV) and the surgery team was fantastic. My daughter is in Boone due to school, she went to the ER because she was expiriencing dizziness, nausea, fatigue, light headedness, her blood pressure was way high, they did a urine test, and an EKG, gave her paperwork and told her she was good. The blood work says otherwise and she was told nothing about her results. Cant believe they would not address the blood pressure or symptoms, could be dehydration and they did nothing for her.
I have never been treated with such disrespect in my life. I went to the ER with severe back pain. I was treated like someone with a drug addiction. I asked the Dr. several times if it could be something going on with my spinal cord. He said "no," it was skeletal muscular. I was told they can not do a MRI through the ER. 4 days later I lose most of my right arm from a bulging disk. I went to Atrinm Health in Wilkesboro. Within 20 minutes I was getting a MRI. I’m a recovering addict. And this hospital gaslit me while I was having my first child because they made a mistake during my labor and so they covered their own butts by using my addiction. (Even though I was COMPLETELY sober) Then on top of all of that, they got my son’s birthdate wrong on his birth certificate. So now I have to pay to have it amended and it could take up to a year.
