My “experience “ here is probably typical of most hospitals these days. Let’s call it poor, terrible, disconcerting, sad, and pathetic. My daughter (22yo f) goes to a local urgent for an acute sudden onset headache and has a bp of 140/110. Said urgent care immediately refers her to the Watauga VA Medical Center ER. I went in there early AM last week. My symptoms were dizziness and lack of balance for a week before my visit. They did all kinds of tests on me. Their ER conclusion was that its either I am getting older or I have a virus. I told them my left ear was stopped up. The doctor looked in my ear...but the problem was with my inner ear. They gave me a antihistamine in the doctors office I told her I cant take antihistamines because they make me irritable and very drowsy. After waiting 9 hours I had to leave to seek medical help
The nurses and staff were extra nice, Dr Edmisten done a great job on my surgery,he explained every thing to me that he was going to do,thanks for all the help and care that watauga medical center showed!! I'm very grateful!;;
