Geothermal Heating System We had a geothermal heating system installed in ea 1769 stone house by this company and we are on our second year of 'oil free' heating and much more efficient cooling in the summer. We ran into a few snags, but they also provided follow-up service after the installation was complete.
They took $5000 up front for a new AC unit and four months later it was not yet installed and they never returned calls.. Another company checked out the system and told me the new unit was not needed. I was the victim of consumer fraud.
Emco was taken over by the stepson of the original owner who did a wonderful job for us 19 years ago. He was true to his word, but the stepson is certainly not. The stepson renamed the company, Elite Mechanical and is at the same address .We are looking for a new company for service after waiting a year for a rebate of $400 which never came and phone calls left unanswered for months. We gave him every opportunity and he just doesn't get it.
