Good food, The steak and lobster was amazing. seating was comfortable and nice. Will come back for sure!
This by far has had to be one of the worse dinning experiences I have had in an upscale establishment. We were in town for the USA Triathlon National Championships and wanted to enjoy a nice meal so we made reservations at the Capital Grill for Saturday August 10th at 7:00 pm. 5 DIAMONDS for the CAPITAL GRILLE! Was a regular here from about 95-04' till I moved to FL. Have a stack of receipts from here an inch thick! AWSOME & SUPERB dining and waitstaff. Georgeous mahogany decor. Fantastic wine storage room. Awsome aged steaks. Try their house Martini, the STOLI-DOLI. Valet parking or 2 blocks from the Metro. I took my boyfriend here for dinner on his birthday and it was the most extraordinary meal. I had the Oscar Fillet with asparagus as a side. The meat was so tender and the juices were extremely flavorful. The asparagus was cooked to perfection and has a perfect crisp tenderness. My filet mignon was prepared perfectly to my specifications and you absolutely must try the lobster mac and cheese. It is the BEST I've ever had. If I had to pick one dessert to recommend it would be the creme brulee. My server Rae was awesome and very knowledgeable making great recommendations. Also try the Stoli Doli which is a pineapple infused vodka.
This is the place that you go for a special occasion. It's a bit on the pricey side but so worth it. I highly recommend the lobster mac and cheese, Brussels sprouts and the porcini rubbed rib eye. The lobster mac and cheese is to die for!! They didn't skimp on the lobster, there were huge chunks throughout the dish. Be sure to grab dessert also...a solid meal from beginning to end.
Excellent steaks. We had the kona crusted NY steak and porcini ribey Service is excellent. Gave wife rose for her birthday and gave each of us a complimentary glass of champagne.
This was by far THE BEST steakhouse experience we have had in Charlotte. The lobster Mac n cheese is the stuff of dreams. Attentive and warm service staff that was on top of their game... I was cold and was given a shawl in addition to the thermostat adjustment. I haven't eaten my dessert yet because I'm so full but it's in the to-go bag right now and I have no doubt it will be as excellent as everything else was.
