This place is not your typical Embassy Suites. It’s more of an old apartment complex converted to a hotel. It is about 10 miles of I10 so like 25 minutes once you get off the highway so not at all quick easy on and off. Did a quick one night stay passing through with family and needed an accessible room for elderly. First of all, folks do not seem warm and welcoming not so much into hospitality. Booked the hotel with credit cards points administered through Expedia. The hotel was less than 25% full. It is a huge property and the clerk put us on the ground floor at the far end of the hotel. We asked to be moved closer and he said "our system puts Expedia in the cheapest (read worst) rooms and I can't change the room". We've never had that problem booking at any other hotel. Great hotel with exceptionally helpful staff. Nice clean rooms with excellent pool area, restaurant on site with bar. Plenty of car parking and in a very safe. Secure area. The fish and chips I ordered in the restaurant was great and the breakfast in the morning was also very very good, with a fantastic choice to choose from.
