No electricity so my son got me a night here and I love it. So nice, clean and spacious !!!!!
Only 1 elevator out of 3 working, and after looking at other reviews it has been this way for at least 2 weeks. They state that the other 2 are undergoing maintenance, but they were not being worked on at all in the 5 days we were here. Not fun with the hotel at capacity and only 1elevator. We took the stairs but you then have to walk through an area that is adjacent to the kitchen, very bizarre! Before I booked I called to see if the pool was open. They said yes. I booked only because my baby turned 8. All she wanted to Do was swim. Slots were booked for the rest of night so she couldn’t. The lady said well you can swim tomorrow until 5. If you looked on our website you would have known you need to do reservations. Simply said okay. Now we in the pool. My family and I had a terrible experience at this hotel. My family was in town for the funeral of my aunt. While we were seated in the lobby area taking and eating we were approached by the assistant manager Demetrius. Shockingly he did not approach us alone , he brought two Independence police officers. He informed us that we were not allowed to bring food into the hotel. Very nice hotel! The staff were all very nice and helpful. We booked a suite and it was very clean with a large TV in the front room. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were great. Nice touch to get 2 free drink tickets per person during happy hour! The breakfast was also great with not only standard breakfast buffet style options but also a chef making made-to-order omelets.
