Hands down best place to send your kiddo. Our 16 year old received so much help. I had looked on google and Reddit and read hundreds of reviews. I wanted the good and bad details of Embark before sending our daughter all the way from Mississippi to Utah. After coming out on the other side I can 100% say.....don't believe the bad reviews. Don't believe the bad comments of Reddit. There are more good reviews and comments FOR A REASON! Do it. Jump in with 2 feet. It's worth it!
We love Embark! Our daughter’s fear had made her completely nonfunctioning in day-to-day life and her OCD was so severe that she was requiring us, her parents, to participate in her compulsions and we were forced to comply or we wouldn’t get any rest in our lives. I brought my daughter to Embark to give her the space and help she needed at a difficult time in her life. She hated me the first day when dropping her off. She spent roughly 90 days there. After the 90 days we have turned around our relationship and she is very mindful and aware of her emotions and actions. The family therapy really helped us work through some issues. Great work and good treatment facility
parents, PLEASE don't send your child here. mine did and it was such an awful, devastating experience. i was bullied so hard whilst i was there, MANY TIMES, which triggered my trauma from past bullying, and intensified it. the therapists and doctors did absolutely nothing. my bullies were never punished, just let go and loved by everyone but me. reading the other reviews, i heard that someone was told it was voluntary. i was absolutely never informed of this in my stay there, therefore practically trapping me in the program ... read more
