I have had 3 visits to Kuflik Dermatology in Toms River for a scalp problem. Saw Marc the first visit. I was diagnosed with Female Alopecia, nothing else. I returned for a 2nd visit complaining of same … as well as I could described it a “plaque” on my scalp. No further diagnosis. Horrible Dr…. Great staff. The staff is wonderful. The nurses and medical assistants are so caring and kind. I haven’t been there since 2020. I decided to review bc I have to go back but will be seeing Mark bc Avery is so terrible.
I saw his PA because I had a SMALL bright red spot at the tip on my nose. He froze it. It reoccurred and he froze it again. The THIRD time it reoccurred, he did what he should have done the first time; he did a biopsy which revealed basal cell CANCER. As a result of his negligence, the cancer had spread on much of my nose. When I saw Dr Kuflik, he brushed it off—well he froze it (not the appropriate for cancer). I saw another dermatologist. I felt that Dr. Avery was not empathetic towards the fears and concerns I expressed to undergo this procedure. This was my very first experience and I did the research prior to making the appt. He appeared to be in a rush to get to the next patient. I did not even get a follow up call from the office to check on my reaction to the procedure. Ironically, This procedure was just a waste of my money. I t appears the procedure did not work for me, it was never explained to me that this could occur.
I live in Long Island and have gone to the top dermatology specialists in New York over the course of 8 months. They ran biopsies and allergy tests to try and figure out what the irritation was on my face. I was diagnosed with Contact Dermatitis over and over. After being on steroid creams and antibiotics for months on end with no improvement, I felt like I was at a dead end. A friend of mine recommended I reach out to her dermatologist in.. Love Dr. Kuflik and his staff is the BEST! I have been a patient there since 2001 and so was my mother. Always the most highest, professional care throughout the years. I will continue to see Dr. Kuflik and his amazing staff for all my dermatological needs.
My 5 yr old grandson had to have a growth removed and screamed and cried and we were ready to just leave when Dr. Avery came in the room and captured his fear, spoke with him and convinced him of the importance of what he had to do. What a difference Dr. Avery made. Can't thank him enough. Of course needing a dermatologist this week I CHOSE DR. AVERY and his greatness and kindness showed again. I would highly recommend to all!!!
Absolutely thrilled with Dr Kuflik and his entire staff. I came up from Fl for the summer and had some positive biopsy’s in Fl, but did t have time to address them there. Dr Kuflik’s office got me right in and treated me with excellent care. I can not thank them all enough for there prompt care.
Yesterday 1/28/2019 I tried to make a follow up appt at the sea gift office...I was hung up on and then left to hold for 15 min. Today I tried again to make an appt and I was left on hold for 20 min. I hung and called back..the girl was rude tried to put me on hold again and told me that they were taking calls for 5 offices...she then hung up on me. I had skin cancer twice...I need an appt for a recheck. Obviously they are too busy for me and definitely need to hire more people to take calls bad
