MISDIAGNOSIS! Elwood Clinic charged my 84 Year old Mother $311.00 for a "MISDIAGNOSIS"!! Told her that her dog had a "Low Grade Infection" and gave her a bottle of antibiotics and discharged the dog. The Dog suffered greatly and the following day, we brought it to a different vet who correctly diagnosed the dog with "severe diabetes" and a cancerous tumor on its pancreas. Elwood Animal Clinic I have a 19 year old cat that wouldn't be around if it wasn't for Elwood Animal Clinic. I would honestly say Elwood brought my cat back to life on three separate occasions. Great Vet! We have been to several vets between our animals. I have brought my miniture pinscher here for years now and now have our other dog here! We were gouged at other vets and this vet has been most honest, affordable, upfront and caring compared to ANY vet we have been to. I know that in every case the cost is going to vary greatly depending on what is wrong and what the the treatment will be, but I have a dog with heart disease and I have not felt gouged in the least bit by any exam, work, tests or medicines she is o... read more
Expensive, but they know what they are doing I took my 2 year old tabby in because he was walking funny and acting strangely. The Vet said he had an obstruction in his urinary tract and gives me an estimate of $900 - $1300. The IV alone was $180 per unit, and they estimated 2 to 6 units. I told the Vet to do the bare minimum and that was estimated at $600 - $900.
Not very clean and very cramped Small office with accomodations that don't always appear clean. The office needs maintaining and there isn't a lot of room for boarding. I felt uncomfortable leaving my pet here.
Elwood is the BEST Vet in this area! I must SPEAK up for Elwood Animal Clinic! Two posts here wrote negative words about Elwood. I am so sad about this! Please go for yourself!
