Elmwood is an awesome place to have your love ones funeral there. Bryan the GM is very nice and helpful, along with the other staff. I highly recommend Elmwood for all your funeral needs.
My grandfather bought family plots at Elmwood in the early 70's when locally owned. I know it's changed ownership several times since. In the contract it states care is their responsibility. My wife's family has plots opposite ours in the front area where there is supposed, once was a fountain. No more. There were bushes planted in it, no more. Now just weeds, grass. And black plastic sheeting sticking up in places. Some very prominent people have plots there and have complained with no results. The stones are broken where t... read more

My Mother and Aunt went to put Christmas reefs on both of my Grandparents graves today. My Mother comes home hysterical because come to find out Elmwood BURIED my Grandma and Grandpa Ploegs headstone, and plot. It was covered in thick grass, therefore it has been buried for sometime!!! Obviously. There is no other worse form of disrespect to our family. We trusted Elmwood to take care of, and maintain our family's resting spots. Not to mention paid them ample money to do so. My late husband is there and when I called them to find out hours, how to find his plot etc since I was coming from Arizona, they were exceptionally helpful and kind. They left a map with his plot highlighted for me, on top of calling me to make sure I had found it and asked if there was anything else I needed. As if that wasn’t enough, I was very impressed by how well kept and beautiful the grounds were.
I attended an outstanding seminar on grief and it was very helpful in my work with hospice and the elderly, in long term care.
