When I checked out of the Hilton Garden Inn, I asked the clerk to recommend a good, local place to get brunch. Without hesitating, she immediately said "Elmo's Diner". She said everything was good and everybody was friendly, and she gave us directions. She was right. Our server was personable and pleasant and our food was delicious. We enjoyed the local ambience and everyone made us feel welcome. We will likely be coming to Durham again for medical care at Duke, and I'd love to enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner at Elmo's. Omgoodness the best everything.
I ordered the sweet potatoe and black bean burrito today! OMG!!! Amazing 😋 and the absolute BEST burrito I've EVER had...no meat and all! Highly recommended! Now if they could just put my favorite chocolate cake on the menu everyday... 😁
