Quiet place, friendly atmosphere. The boat ramp is adequate for fishing boats , but the draw available looks low, so deep hulls might need extra care. They're refinishing the fishing pier, but it's still useful. Good rates and good accommodations for travel trailers. Bath houses are older and not well maintained, so bring your own bathroom!
I rented a cabin over Labor Day weekend 2023. Cabin was spacious and had two sets of bunk beds, a table for four, microwave, mini fridge and A/C. The cabin was close to the water which made launching our canoe super easy and a small porch that faced the water. Bathrooms were a short walk away and had a shower. Cleanliness was not bad. Great trip. Fish were biting, weather was great and the kind folks at the campground let us use the arcade for our fish fry. The landing is clean, the boat ramp is in great shape and the people in the store friendly and helpful.
Great spot on the lake. Great cabins. Cool game room. Pier needs repair/replacement, but works for now. Bathrooms and showers need improvement, mainly for men's rooms. Love this place. Will come back for years to come!!!!
I wish I could give this place a great review so I’ll start with the good parts. We were able to reserve a cabin at the last minute on our way to Congaree. The cabin had 4 bunk beds, a futon, a tv, refrigerator, microwave, and heat. No bugs or obvious grime and the heat was a life saver since there was a freeze warning in effect.
