My son had an appointment at 2 PM today. We arrived on time and were told it would be at least an hour and a half before we saw the physician (Dr. Misra) because she was in the OR and there were two people in front of us. Nobody bothered to extend a courtesy phone call to let us know the doctor would be running that far behind. They also couldn’t guarantee we would see her today. Absolutely disgraceful. My son was Transferred from Exeter Hospital to the Elliot Hospital Pediatric Unit for Appendicitis on Tuesday 4-9-2024. The night Nurse Jess was amazing and took great care of him and so did the rest of the team on the floor. We met with the pediatric surgeon Doctor Elizabeth Soukup and she was amazing and answered all of my questions and concerns and treated my 7 year old son like he was one of her own children. On 6/11/23 went to the Emergency Room due to thinking my 11 year old son had appendicitis was sent from my hospital in Peterborough to Elliot. We had checked in to the emergency room and told front desk of the situation checked in and was called within minutes. Brought my son to the pediatric ER and within minutes they staff were there to check in on him I was very impressed with how fast everything went in the ER. After months of struggling to get answers for our son’s condition we were finally heard at Elliot Pediatric Surgery Associates. My son was seen and treated by Dr. Soukup and APRN Dubois. His surgery went well! I’ll always remember the open communication and proper care!
