I'm not crazy about their app or mobile appointments, but I've been making the most progress in therapy at Ellie than anywhere else I've ever tried.
I’ve had bad experiences with mental health professionals canceling on me or leaving shortly after starting my therapy but this has been the most flexible and accommodating experience I’ve ever had. I’ve been with Michael Stavros since December of 2023 and I’m hoping to stay with him for quite some time. Our first few sessions went well and we were so happy to find a nearby therapist who accepted our insurance and offered in-person appointments in evening hours so we could make time for therapy with our daytime work schedules. However, as a previous reviewer also mentioned, after the first few sessions we continued to be cancelled on by the therapist on an almost weekly basis (always last minute, the day of our scheduled appointment, only 5-6 hours in advance). I wouldn’t recommend this clinic to anyone. They have a cancelation policy for patients, however, therapists are allowed to cancel appointments within a few hours before their appointment. After noticing a pattern of cancellation from one of their therapists I’m switching to a clinic that value my time. Our time (patients) is as important as theirs (therapists). Be careful folks!
What an awful place. Save your money and look elsewhere for REAL therapy.
