We go to Ellie Mental Health in Greenwood Village, and Anna has been amazing for our family. She’s patient, down-to-earth, and really gets kids in a way that not a lot of people do. She’s helped Cole work through some tough stuff, but also helped us as parents understand him better and feel more equipped to support him. Started with an amazing counselor that was very responsive to text and got us in right away for couples counseling. Unfortunately, after a couple of sessions the therapist informed us he would be leaving the practice and no longer taking our insurance. After reaching out to Ellie several times, no one would assist us. I even contacted them myself and they insisted we needed to send an email. Which my boyfriend had already done. I got my grandson into Ellie. He has abandonment issues along with behavior issues. I looked specifically for a male to help my grandson to open up. So, I whom I thought was a good match and was slowly working basically ended the therapist relationship with a text message. Now I have to scramble to find someone else and deal with his issues because now the therapist abandoned him via text. This was so unacceptable I can't even explain how upsetting and angry I am about this while situation.

My experience trying to find someone left little to be desired. I’m extremely picky when it comes to finding a therapist. I look at bio’s, and photos, and their experiences. I also see if they’re fully licensed or interns, or working towards their license (I am a mental health provider myself, so I understand the importance of learning, but an intern or pre-licensed person is not for me).
