The building has little soundproofing, and parties are usual on Friday's and Saturdays with loud music slamming of doors till wee hours of the morning. Staff does not enforce quiet hours and relies on offsite security team which doesn't do anything. You can hear everything from all sides top and bottom. This has been the worst apartment I’ve ever lived in. I moved to Portland from Alabama and was only able to see the apartment via pictures. The apartment is right next to the trash chute which I was not told. When the machine goes off (midnight, 2am, 6am, 8am) my walls shake and the noise is so loud that I can not sleep. I got more sleep as a soldier in Iraq than I do in my own home. I have repeatedly asked the office about this and the answer is that nothing can be done about it.
