RecommendedThis team, from the person who picks up the phone (could be anyone of the staff members given the needs of the clients at the time) to the point you walk out the door and beyond, is phenomenal. I’ve had several appointments with them over the last two years after moving back to town for our kitties. They are compassionate, knowledgeable and truly care about your pet. I can not recommend them highly enough in my praises.

Dr. Slamka and Elkhorn Veterinary saved my boy from the possibility of needing to be retired. He got an extremely severe laceration on his fetlock. Dr. Slamka was out within 50 minutes with a calm, reassuring attitude. She did everything she possibly could to make the stitching process comfortable for him. During the 2-3 weeks of stall rest, I felt like she was with me every step of the way. The clinic took all of my 5,000 phone calls and they walked me through the whole thing. Dr. Stewart and the entire staff, I have to thank you for the care and love you’ve given to my Great Dane, Stella. Today at 12 years and 5 months old, I have to let Stella go rest. By far the hardest day I’ve had to decide for her. I truly appreciate all Colleen Stewart did for her through the years. Her last job was to show the two new girls what to do, and as always, she did great. Please let Dr. Stewart know how much I love and appreciate all the care she gave Stella. Thank you Kim Halada
