Googled to see if this place was open yet. Showed it was open, a recent review said it was open via Gates hill Rd. It is not. It's closed. Salmon Falls is accessibile from Gates hill Ed, but be warned. The road there is not just steep, it's extremely steep. Lots of parking, limited swimming area and everyone was smoking. 👎🏻 Not worth the drive out.

The day use area is open again. It is just west of the closed campground. This area is in robust recovery from the fire several years ago, and has become beautiful in its own way. To get there, you must drive over Gates Hill Rd., which is paved and quite scenic, but steep. Photographers will find the park technically difficult, but rewarding. While you can get some shots in the park near the road, the trail down to the water is steep and difficult. You need a federal pass to park.

El mejor lugar para pasar unos dias felices junto a tu familia, llenos de paz y tranquilidad.lo que mas me gusta es que no hay se�al de celular y el peque�o rio junto de la vegetacion hacen de este lugar un refugio perfecto para descanzar..

This is one of the crown jewels of camping in Oregon. Close enough to anything you want to do, far enough away from everything else. It's quiet, beautiful and the camp hosts for -years- running have all been very agreeable if not a bit eccentric.
